The project involves a cabana-style hotel located in Dambulla, Sri Lanka. The architectural design will incorporate traditional Sri Lankan elements with contemporary aesthetics, harmoniously blending with the surrounding natural environment.
The cabanas offer privacy and comfort, utilizing sustainable materials such as wood, stone, and thatched roofs. Key features include open-air living spaces, large windows, and private terraces that provide panoramic views of the landscape. The design also includes a natural-style pool, a wellness area, and pathways integrated with native flora.
The interior design reflects the rich cultural heritage of Dambulla, using a colour palette inspired by the surrounding landscape. Materials include natural stone, hardwood, and handcrafted textiles. The interiors are simple yet luxurious, focusing on comfort and connection to nature. Custom-designed furniture and locally sourced decor enhances the authenticity of the experience. Sustainability is a priority, with eco-friendly materials. Energy-efficient lighting is used throughout the building.
