Allai Villas

This luxury hotel project in Jaffna, Sri Lanka, was created to offer an elegant fusion of contemporary design and traditional Tamil architecture, reflecting the rich cultural heritage of the region. The architectural design emphasizes clean lines, spacious layouts, and the use of local materials such as limestone, terracotta, and teak wood.

The hotel features expansive public spaces, including a grand lobby, multiple dining venues, a rooftop bar, and a serene courtyard inspired by traditional Jaffna homes. The design will also integrate modern sustainability practices, with energy-efficient systems, rainwater harvesting, and solar panels. 

The interior design will blend modern luxury with elements of Tamil culture. The colour palette will feature warm neutrals with accents of deep reds, golds, and indigo hues, reflecting the vibrant colour spectrum found in traditional textiles and art in Jaffna. 
The use of high-end materials, such as marble, polished wood, and silk, is aimed at creating an atmosphere of understated elegance. Each room offers maximum comfort, with plush furnishings, large windows, and bespoke details such as hand-carved wooden panels and locally crafted decor. The interior spaces are designed to evoke a sense of place, with curated art and artifacts that tell the story of Jaffna’s rich history and culture.
